What this column contains
A plus sign, country code and subscriber number with every space, dash and bracket removed — the format telephony systems expect.
Where the value comes from
Derived from the published number using the listing's country as the dialling context, so a nationally formatted number resolves to the right prefix. Numbers that cannot be resolved confidently are left empty rather than guessed at.
Example value
+902122499680
What people use it for
- 01Import into a power dialler or a cloud phone system without a cleanup pass.
- 02Deduplicate leads across countries, where local formats disagree but E.164 does not.
- 03Feed messaging APIs, most of which reject anything that is not E.164.
- 04Group a multi-country list by country code to plan calling windows.
What it will not tell you
Normalisation depends on the listing's country being known. For a listing with an ambiguous or missing country, this cell stays empty on purpose — a wrong country code is worse than no number.
Questions about this field
- Why is E.164 empty when the phone column has a value?
- Because the number could not be resolved to a country with confidence. Rather than prepend a plausible prefix, the field is left blank so your dialler never calls a wrong number.
- Does E.164 include the leading zero?
- No. The national trunk prefix is dropped, which is exactly what makes the format work internationally.
