What this column contains
A page URL on the business's own domain — usually the home page, a contact page or an about page.
Where the value comes from
Recorded at crawl time and stored alongside the address, because an address you cannot trace is an address you cannot defend.
Example value
https://www.gulluoglu.com/iletisim
What people use it for
- 01Prove provenance when a recipient asks where you got their address.
- 02Weigh confidence: an address on /contact is a contact address, one scraped off a blog post may not be.
- 03Debug a wrong address without re-running the crawl.
- 04Open the source page to find a name to go with the inbox.
What it will not tell you
The source proves where the address was published, not that the business consented to receive your mail. Lawful-basis checks under GDPR and similar regimes are still yours to make.
Questions about this field
- Why does provenance matter for cold email?
- Because most regimes distinguish a publicly published business address from a harvested personal one, and being able to point at the page you found it on is the difference between a defensible send and a guess.
- Is the source always on the business's own domain?
- Yes. The crawl stays on the site listed on the Maps profile and does not wander onto directories or aggregators.
