What this column contains

True when the listing carries a website URL, false when it does not.

Where the value comes from

Derived from the website column, so the two can never disagree. A social profile in the website slot does not count as a website.

Example value

false

What people use it for

  • 01Build the classic no-website prospect list in one filter.
  • 02Split a campaign into web-design pitches and everything else.
  • 03Explain an empty email column: no website means there was nowhere to crawl.
  • 04Size a market: what share of a category in a city is still offline.

What it will not tell you

False means no website on the listing, which is not quite the same as no website in existence. A business that never added its URL will look identical to one that has none.

Questions about this field

Why is my email column empty for every no-website row?
Because email is crawled from the business's own site. No site means no page to find an address on, which is exactly why these two columns move together.
Does a Facebook page count?
No. Only a real website sets this true, which is the distinction the pitch depends on.
